Criss Cross Braids

Start with securing two small sections of hair at the top of the head with elastics.  Braid each section and secure at the bottom.  Now, take another section under one of the previous sections, with the braid from the kitty-corner section secure this section with an elastic.  Secure opposite side in the same way.  Take the elastics off the bottom of the original braids, as they are now secured in the second row of pony tails.  Braid this row of braids and secure.  Create a third and forth row of cross braids the same as the second.  With time, a comb, and a little less squirmy child you can get the braids looking even and the underlying parts strait.
