Patriotic Hair

I loved this hair.  Start with two thin pony tails on the top of the head, gather a small amount of hair to form an additional two pony tails, before securing with elastic add kitty-corner pony tail from first set to second set and secure.  Complete with other side.  You should have an X shape with two pony tails.  Now the fun part, if you have cans of spray hair color use that.  I didn't.  I had side walk chalk.  I took the blue and some water.  Get the chalk wet and rub it on the lower section of hair, this take several coats to get the hair saturated. If you are having a hard time coloring the hair try playing with the amount of water you are using. Now "paint" the pony tails in same way with red, or pink.

Tri-Side twists

I love the french twist.  The french twist is just like the french braid, with the exception of only picking hair up on one side,  the hair will twist toward the side that you pick the hair from.  These twists are made by picking the hair up on the top (looks like the right side from this photo).  When you finish all three twists gather and roll the hair together with butterfly clips and bobby pins.

Hair Crown take two

Here is another take at the hair crown, this time it didn't turn out as well, but at least this time I got a kind of rear photo.  See Hair Crown for instructions.

Knobby Bun

Simple enough. Start to make a side pony tail, and before you pull the hair through the elastic the last time, leave it half way, then repeat on the other side.

Flower Child

This one couldn't get any easier.  I was setting up for a craft show and Claire, sporting two low pig tails, started taking out my flower clips and putting them on her head, until her entire head was covered.  These clips are from Sunny Days Boutique

Hair Crown

This one is hard to see, it was before I got good at remembering to photo her hair.  This one is a french twist that circumnavigates her head.  Start at one side of her head, and work your way up and across then down and around her head till you are back where you started, or out of hair.  If you have extra length you can finish the braid and pin it next to your previous twist.  I add a few sparkly butterfly clips because it was her brothers baptism.

Easter Basket Weave

This was a fun one.  Start by making a simple pony tail, I choose a high one.  Then take several lengths of thin ribbon, this is 1/8" ribbon.  Thread one length of ribbon, it must be at least 2x-3x the diameter of the pony tail, through a dull knitting/crafting needle.  Starting from the back, beneath the pony tail, weave under and over small amounts of hair closely around the pony tail until you are back where you started.  Taking the next length of ribbon do the exact same thing, this time in opposite over and under the hair sections.  Continue weaving all the ribbon around the pony tail and then tie all the ribbon together in a cute bow, and Voila!  Not as complicated as you might think, and what is nice about this one is if she wiggles and is not sitting still, you don't have to start all over!
